Attention High School Girls
Next Sunday January 25th, the high school girls will be going off-campus. The girls studided spiritual mothering, so we will be visiting four homes of women in the church. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE YOUR PARENTS AWARE THAT WE WILL BE OFF CAMPUS!

Super Bowl Parties
On Sunday February 1st, there will be two separate parties. Locations will be announced soon. The cost will be $3. There will be no small groups that Sunday night as well as no CSE.
Winter Retreat 2009
This years Winter Retreat will again be held at Camp Southwind on February 20-22. The cost is $90, and a $25 deposit is due on Febuary 8th. The theme will be "Apologetics: Defending the faith." Some scholarships are available email Pastor Michael (michael@riverbendchurch.com) or talk to him at church. Leaders make sure you sign up also if you would like to attend.
Christmas in the Park
Christmas in the park is an anuual event that Riverbend has been involved with for the past three years. CSC as well as the ensamble and Celebration Singers have been invloved. The event will be held at the Port Orange Amphitheatre on Saturday December 6th and the show will begin at 6:30pm. There will be a tree lighting ceremony, as well as performaces by Corner Stone Chior and Ensamble, Made 4 Praise Ensamble, as well as music by Riverbend's own Radical Measures. Come out and have fun!
All youth involved in high school choir need to be on the risers at 3:45pm to begin soundchecks. We will receive out shirts after soundchecks and will have a pizza snack. Remember to wear blue jeans when you come to Port Orange. Click here to view the flyer. (it takes a couple seconds to load)
Christmas Parties
On Sunday afternoon, December 14th, we will be hosting two Christmas parties. One for high school, and one for middle school. The High School [arty will be at the Picerne's house in Lake Mary. The Middle School party will be at the Hargrave's house.
Money ($5 for both middle and high school) is due on Sunday December 7th. The parties will be held right after church on Sunday morning, so you will want to bring clothes to change into. Lunch will be provided as well as rides to the party. High school will be provided with rides back to the church, but middle school students will need to be picked up by 3:30pm that afternoon. There is an optional gift exchange (spend about $5). THERE WILL BE NO YOUTH THAT NIGHT!

Rick Dixon
As some of you may know, Mr. Rick Dixon died this past Tuesday, his son Nick is a part of our youth group. A memorial service will be held this Saturday morning at 10 AM in the choir room at Riverbend. I highly encourage all of you who are able to please come. Please be in prayer for Nick, his mother, brother, and sister.
Moonlight Ball
This Friday November 14, 2008 will be a Moonlight Ball. It will be held at the church. Middle School will from 7-9pm and High School will be from 9-11pm possibly later. There will be dodgeball and some other fun games.

Harvest Fest Help Needed!
Mrs. Karen Dillard is in charge of organizing the Harfest fest this year. She is needing some help to get some things done on Saturday October 25, 2008. It is open to any youth that would like to come out and offer help. It is from 9am-12pm. If you can't stay the whole time that's fine, just drop by when you can.

Discipleship Weekend!
October 17-19, 2008 Cost is $25 which includes meals and all activities.

Update for 3/25/08
As I am sure many of you have heard already, there is another installment of BABY in the Youth Group. Aaron and Laura Johnsen's daughter, Jocelyn Noel, was born on Good Friday at 1:36 in the morning. She weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 19.5" long. Thank God with them that He delivered a healthy child to a healthy mother!

Story Knight has arrived! She was born at 1:32 pm yesterday weighing in at 8 lb's 14 oz and 21 inches long. Robyn and the baby are both healthy. Please pray for the expanding Knight family's continued well-being.
